officer observed a vehicle traveling without any headlight on. When the
officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle started to flee. The
officer activated the blue lights and siren and the vehicle continued to run
from the officer. The officer pursued the vehicle south on Stadium Blvd,
east on Race St., south on Fair Park Blvd., east on Phillips Dr., and then
south on Caraway Rd. The suspect vehicle then lost control and struck a
pole at the intersection of Caraway and Parker Rd. The driver jumped out
of the vehicle and fled the area on foot. Officers continued to chase
the subject. Approximately 10 minutes later, the suspect was in custody.
The driver was charged with several traffic offenses as well as two counts of
fleeing. Also the vehicle that the suspect was driving was stolen.
Jonesboro Police took custody of the individual.
